SoundDead 15 is an affordable alternative to other Leading Brands of acoustic mats, whilst It has similar physical properties in terms of mass to provide a comparable Airborne and Impact performance benefit. SoundDead 15 minimises both impact and airborne noise and can be used to meet the requirements of Building Regulations Part E when used as part of a separating floor / ceiling structure subject to flanking issues being remedied.
It can be laid on both concrete and timber sub-flooring and is suitable for most floor finishes including carpets, laminate and engineered wood floors. When laid under wood floors, it is recommended that a minimum 6 mm thick MDF is glued onto the SoundDead 15 to reduce deflection.

Description
SoundDead is quick and easy to install. It can be either loose laid or bonded to the floor or fitted tight up to the perimeters without the need for an isolating strip. SoundDead 15 will not transmit vibrations into the walls. Sheets should be laid in a brick pattern, with staggered joints, and butted tight together ensuring that there are no gaps.
