Particularly suitable for use within timber floor constructions, Isosonic Hangers are designed to minimise construction depth. When fixed to the side of joists, the Isosonic Hangers require only a 5mm void between the underside of the joist and the top of the plasterboard, allowing for a much more economical use of space.
Typically, Isosonic Hangers are ideal in situations where you need to suspend larger mass systems than is possible when using ordinary resilient bars. They offer a simple, effective way to extend the ceiling void.
Specification:
There are three main types of hangers:
- Type A is designed for minimal loss in ceiling height
- Type C hangers are fixed to the underside of the structural floor, providing a ceiling drop of approximately 100mm including plasterboard
- Type D is best suited for retained ceilings

Description
The number of ceiling hangers required per square metre of floor is dependent on the room, but regular rectangular rooms will require approximately 2.5 hangers for every square metre of space, with spacing between the hangers not exceeding 800mm.
