Description
Boards should be glued together and laid brickwork fashion with staggered joints, a perimeter foam edge strip should be fitted around the edge of each room and across the door threshold. The edge foam should then be folded down on to the acoustic flooring with the skirting board then sitting on the edge foam.
Flanking Transmission:
The acoustic performance of a floor can be compromised by sound moving through adjacent walls and ducts. This movement – known as flanking transmission – can be combatted through the use of Acoustic Tape, a flexible polyethylene strip designed to seal such gaps.
