Request a call backJCW Acoustic Battens are high quality composite floor insulation products comprising of a standard nominal timber batten laminated to an acoustic resilient layer.
The battens are used to create a raised platform floor: the resilient layer on the underside of the batten sits on the floor and chipboard is screwed to the top of the batten. This product is exceptionally easy to install however isolation tape should be used around the perimeter.
In refurbishments, the JCW Acoustic Battens can be overlaid onto flat timber (T) or concrete (C) floors.
Sizes range from 50mm to 90mm as detailed below:

As a result, pre-completion testing may not be required when the scheme has been registered with Robust Detail. It can be used to comply with part E of the building regulations when used as part of a system.
JCW Acoustic Batten 50 is most suitable for FFT-3 floating floor types such as E-FC-1, 2, 7 and E-FS-1 (though the screed layer varies according to floor type. You can refer to the robust details handbook for the full specification).
Installation
It’s important to ensure that all components are correctly installed and detailed in accordance with manufacturer instructions particularly where Robust Detail compliance is required.
Raised floor space can be used for installing services (services between battens must not penetrate resilient layer).
