Request a call backMonarfloor Tri- Deck is a resilient overlay platform, direct-to-joist floor system, designed to help reduce sound transmission in any situation when the existing timber floor will be removed and where work on the ceiling below is restricted.
Benefits
Monarfloor Tri-Deck consists of a 5mm layer of foam rubber that is then bonded to an 8mm layer of LRAC foam type I, and in-turned then attached to 22mm V313 P5 moisture resistant chipboard. Resilient overlay shallow platform floor for timber frame dwellings.
If installed as part of a complete sound reduction system, it enables a timber floor to meet the sound transmission regulations of Part E.

Boards should be glued together and laid brickwork fashion with staggered joints, a perimeter foam edge strip should be fitted around the edge of each room and across the door threshold. The edge foam should then be folded down on to the acoustic flooring with the skirting board then sitting on the edge foam.
The acoustic performance of a floor can be compromised by sound moving through adjacent walls. This movement – known as flanking transmission – can be combatted through the use of Acoustic Tape, a flexible polyethylene strip designed to seal such gaps.
