SoundDead 19 is a heavy-duty dual-purpose insulation mat, designed for use on timber floors and protecting against both airborne and impact noise.
Specification:
At 21kg/m2 it is heavier than all its competitors, providing a little extra noise reduction in those situations where a standard mat just might not be enough.
The mats are 1m x 0.6m x 19mm and comprise 2x 10kg/m2 polymeric barrier mat laminated to 10mm thick resilient layer.

Description
The mats should be applied in a brickwork fashion with tight butt edge joins with no gaps, they can be laid loose or glued down. It is imperative that that there are no gaps around the floor perimeter, all gaps should be sealed with silicon or mastic.
Ideally the timber subfloor should also be sealed in the same manner before laying the SoundDead 19 mats.
